This Week in Details

My usual Sunday post is a day later than scheduled, but it's a three-day weekend here, so essentially today is just Sunday part II, oui?  This past week started out with my second-ever trip to the state fair. We stocked up on kettle corn, rode the swing carousel and caught the last bit of blue sky before the rainstorms came.

Cotton candy. If my average fair attendance is once every decade, I might as well go for a pinch or two of spun sugar.

When the stormy September weather came along, Eva tried to master the art of sleeping like a human.

These little, local strawberries out-sweeted any strawberries I've ever tasted. I filled up on vitamin C while reading Twyla Tharp's The Creative Habit.

Excuse the blank stare, but here is my shorter hair. I'll be busy in the months ahead so I decided to go for something quick and easy, and I'm really enjoying the reduced washing and drying time!

Late summer rain is one of the best smells in the world. I love the sun, but a part of me just can't wait to cuddle inside with a pumpkin spice latte in hand.

Happy September!
