Animal Print, and Other Distractions

During the quarantine here in the PNW, I’ve been teaching remotely via video each day, so I am obliged to wear (at least the top part of) a professional outfit. Honestly, there are way more important issues right now than what to wear for Zoom meetings. But also, preserving a little bit of normalcy, and a small creative outlet, is helpful in these strange times.

Here are two staple blouses in my wardrobe that I have reached for this week. I found both of these last year on the same day at Buffalo Exchange… and I traded in old clothes for them! The leopard print one is an Equipment silk blouse, and the snake print one was originally from Zara. I wouldn’t have purchased from either of these brands directly, but I just wanted to mention this info as inspiration for what you can find in thrift and consignment stores! As I’ve gotten older and have learned what looks best on me, I’ve discovered my love for bold printed blouses (especially animal print). I will wear both of these until they are threadbare.

And speaking of animal print… last night I started watching Tiger King. If you are searching for a show that is crazy enough to distract you momentarily from all of the other chaos in the world, this could be it. I am two episodes in, and tonight’s plan is making pizza and watching more. Have you seen it?
